Today, I got my long hair cut in a short pixie cut. When my five year old daughter saw me she laughed and proclaimed 'You look just like a man!'. That afternoon I got a concerned call from the school. My daughter has told everyone 'mummy has gone away, I now have two daddies!' FML

Today, I took my daughter to get the expensive pixie cut she’s been "dying" for. As soon as we got home, my husband burst into hysterical laughter and pointed out that she looks exactly like he did in high school. Now she’s sobbing and begging for either a wig or even more expensive extensions. FML

Today, I got my hair cut short, as it hasn’t been cut in well over a year and I was getting sick of dealing with it. I told the hairdresser I would probably look like a boy but she said it would look cute, and that she’d make sure it looks feminine. I loved how it came out, until the kid at CVS asked, “Can I help you sir?” FML

Today, one of my dad's work friends came over. As he was leaving, he complimented my dad on having three "strapping young boys." I informed him that I'm a girl, and I have a hormone imbalance that causes me to have a lot of hair and a deep voice. I guess my dress didn't give him a clue. FML

When I was a teenager, I got my hair cut really short once. When my dad saw it, he actually shouted at the top of his lungs: "WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOUR HAIR?!" I was really mortified that he hated it so much. Heck, I'm surprised he even cared about something so trivial. Especially since my mom has had short hair all her life! In the end, nobody really seemed to think it was all that attractive except my Mom, so my dad's shock was just the death knell. I think the reason that I wanted to do it was watching the movie Roman Holiday with Audrey Hepburn, she looks so much cuter when she gets her hair cut. Never again for me!

wtf? is the school catholic?? why the f should they care? my school didnt give a damn about my parents splitting up, so i can only assume that they were concerned because the guy was rumored to be gay. oh yeah, how horrendous (sarcastic). ugh. btw pixie cuts are awesome!
