Today, I had the Monday meeting that I have had every week for 8 months. We had new people joining today. One of my bosses went around the room introducing people, and he forgot my name. I've been sitting across from him with a nametag for 8 months. FML

Today, after being with the company for over 3 years, I realised nobody really knows my name. This was after my boss was walking around a new staff member and couldn't introduce me. Neither could my colleague, who's been sitting next to me for the last 6 months. FML

Today, my boss called me Ashley. My name doesn't even start with an A. I even wear a name tag. You would think after nearly four years, your boss would remember your name. Every time he speaks to me, it's a different name. FML

Today, at work, we've just hired a new load of people. As an icebreaker, we were paired up randomly and told to learn about our partner so that we can introduce them to the group. I got matched up with someone I've worked with for 4 months. Mid-conversation, I blurted out "I don't know your name." FML

Today, I finally got my nametag. I had been using other people's names like Maria and Caie for a week, so I was happy to be called my own name. I put it on and got to work. Ten minutes later, I was called into the office. I got laid off. I got to wear my nametag for 10 minutes. FML

Today, it was my last day at my job. My team made a little party for me so they could wish me well and say goodbye, but when it came time for my manager to give a little speech, she couldn't even remember my name. I've been working there for two years. FML

One should also note that they need to make themselves noticable in a good way by way of merit and performance, not by being the office **** or brown-noser. My personal policy is to be in my supervisors' face and find out exactly what he needs and deliver that and 10% more, making myself indispencable in the process.

Oh, wahh. I was in a musician fiddling group where we went around and played shows in front of fairly large audiences. I was one of the original 2 people, and had been in the organization for 4 years. Our conductor forgot my name in front of 300 people while introducing the 10 of us. My mother was on the sponsoring board of the event we were playing at too, so that ensued some hilarity.
